The "Dragonfang" (also known as "The Magic Sword" ) is a flaming magic sword that first appears in the final scene of Dragon's Lair, where it is only referred to as "the magic sword". Princess Daphne tells Dirk that in order to slay the dragon, he must retrieve and use said magic weapon.
Its name, "Dragonfang", is mentioned in the first issue of the Dragon's Lair comics: the Wizard apprentice Halvern tells Dirk and Leraene that Singe is not an ordinary dragon and cannot be killed by conventional weapons (perhaps because he is one of the Elder Dragons). He may only be slain by the Dragonfang, which perhaps he keeps inside dragon amber in his castle.
In Dragon's Lair 3D, it is revealed that the sword will be unsheathed from the magic crystal by a warrior with great courage, wit and no evil intentions, as shown when Hollow tried to pull the sword out, to no avail.
